One of the hardest things I find is feeling like it’s ok to get genuinely close to people – and knowing how to do that comfortably. I’ve noticed that, in a room full of people, if I don’t have a social role (e.g. performing or presenting) I can easily struggle with feeling self-conscious, anxious, and a bit awkward. As a culture, we are often asked to avoid our grief – this is unfortunate, unhelpful and unhealthy. Today is about being with our grief, fear, and feelings of deep loss. *Our Earth is politically exposed and we, her dependents, are now vulnerable.
